1925: Commercial Broadcast Radio Growing

As you can see by the above 1925 news article, amateurs were a nuisance to those who wanted commercial space. Indeed, they were tolerated. HOWEVER, the government didn't want rock the boat and discourage the amateurs who were largely responsible for creating new and very necessary advances in the developing art of radio communication. Those early amateurs were more capable of managing the airwaves and innovating than were the bureaucrats in D.C.
