THE WASHINGTON MARKET REFERRED TO IN HIS ARTICLE WAS ONCE LOCATED IN CENTER CITY TRENTON. IT HAD FRUIT AND VEGETABLE STANDS, NUMEROUS BUTCHERS AND OTHER MERCHANTS.
